Millcreek director Alisa T. Cooper is inspired by the power of Imagination. She believes that every child should have the privilege to create the Impossible within the limitless boundaries of their own mind.
Teaching children of all ages for many years, Miss Alisa found the most joy in Theatre. Being an Up With Kids parent, Alisa was up close and personal to see the amazing work accomplished in this program. She enjoyed working with her daughter through several productions so much that becoming a director was the natural next step. She has found so much joy in nurturing creativity through the amazing art of Acting.
Alisa has a unique background of education and work in the field of Criminal Justice. She has worked in Juvenile Probation, taught youth in custody programs for teens, as well as worked in an elementary setting for learning disabled children.
Alisa enjoyed many different athletic programs, as well as Acting and Musical Theatre during her youth. She believes firmly that children benefit greatly by staying active in mind and body. In Musical Theatre a child is able to have the wonderful combination of both. Alisa is excited to share her many talents of Music, Dance, and Acting with the Millcreek group this year! She specializes in character development, and the creation of Imagination brought to life!
