Keaton Brock

Ogden, Salt Lake, and Taylorsville director Miss Keaton adores the social skills and self worth that Up With Kids cultivates. This is Keaton’s fifth season with with the company and has found that nothing brings her as much joy as teaching and playing with her amazing students!!
Keaton graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Theatre Studies (emphasis in Musical Theatre and Dramaturgy). She trained vocally with Dr. Brian Manternach and musical theatre techniques with Denny Berry (Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera). In addition to her collegiate training, Keaton has worked professionally as an actor, dramaturg, costume/set/puppet designer, and stage manager.
Miss Keaton believes that children engaging in theatre at an early age is one of the most effective methods to build self-confidence, establish good communication skills, and help children become thoughtful citizens of the global community.

“If you take a child to the theatre, not only will they practice empathy, they might also laugh uproariously, or come home singing about science, or want to know more about history, or tell you what happened at school today, or spend all dinner discussing music, or learn how to handle conflict, or start becoming future patrons of the arts”–Lauren Gunderson
