Biography
St. George director Miss Jessie, has been with Up With Kids since 2010. After seeing her best friend perform in an Up With Kids end-of-year recital, she knew she had to get involved.
She discovered that Up With Kids was her happy place and loved it immediately. Her amazing director Miss Nancy took a shy kid and gave her the confidence to grow in ways she couldn’t even imagine. Jessie continued involvement in Up With Kids, volunteering in weekly classes, end of the year recitals, and summer camps.
With the confidence that Up With Kids gave her, she became an outgoing leader in high school. She excelled in the CHHS theatre program acting in, assisting with, and directing several shows as well as serving as the Theatre Club Spirit Pride Officer and then council President. She recently graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in History and Math education. Currently Jessie is teaching US History at Crimson Cliffs Middle School.
Jessie is very energetic and fun so she has a great rapport with kids. She’s excited for another great year of directing and teaching. Jessie views teaching as one of the most honorable careers one can go into. She has experienced first-hand how one amazing teacher can so largely impact a student’s life and strives to do the same for her students.
